VISION 2035

A Light on the Hill—A Church in the City, for the City

Vision 2035 is Wesley Methodist Church’s 10-year journey to become a welcoming, missional, and caring church in the heart of Singapore. Guided by God, we seek to make disciples, build godly families, and nurture caring communities to serve the last, the least, and the lost.

  • Welcoming Church: Warm, hospitable, and open to all.

  • Missional Church: Making disciples in every sphere.

  • Caring Church: Building godly families and nurturing caring communities.

Our Spiritual Home

By 2035, we envision Wesley Methodist Church as a spiritual home—a place where lives are transformed, faith is deepened, and all are welcome.

1 Vision

4 Strategic Thrusts

1. Discipleship of Generations

  • Make disciples of all generations, young and old, through the centrality of God’s Word and the transforming power of the Spirit.
  • Build godly marriages and Christ-centered families.
  • Engage people from the online space into a discipleship community.
In short, first a Disciple of Christ, then a Disciple Maker.

2. Create an Open Church of Welcome and Hospitality

  • A spiritual family that welcomes everyone.
  • A warm, hospitable and safe space for all to encounter God.
  • A spiritual community where all can belong to.

3. Intentional Outreach through Social Concerns and Missions

  • Continue to grow the many ongoing ministries of good work.
  • Grow our outreach in Jalan Besar as we serve the marginalized and the lonely, the poor and needy.
  • Nurture our ministry in MWS Eunos Nursing Home.
  • Continue to go to the nations through mission trips. We will develop our mission fields and raise more missionaries for the Great Commission of Christ.

4. Create and acquire space for disciple-making, growth and community-building

  • Redevelop our aging church premises so as to create more space for ministry, discipleship and growth
  • We want the church to be a House of Prayer every day of the week and be a constant beacon of hope and presence in the city.
  • Additional space would also enable us to bring the entire church family back to 5 Fort Canning - for worship and deeper community.

PARTNERING IN FAITH

Vision 2035 is not just a roadmap—it’s a shared journey. As God leads us into the next decade, every member of Wesley Methodist Church is invited to take part in building His Kingdom through faithful partnership.

Pray

Join us in seeking His face, resting in His grace, and journeying forward in His strength. Let us be a people who pray—daily, dependently, and expectantly—as we build towards Vision 2035.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.”  Psalm 127:1a

Serve

Together, let us be the hands and feet of our Lord. Whether it’s discipling someone, proclaiming the gospel, or loving the least and the last, let us serve Christ with compassion and conviction.
"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me." — Matthew 25:40

Give

As we have been blessed, let us give generously and joyfully—towards the work of God and the vision He has placed before us.
"It is more blessed to give than to receive." — Acts 20:35

VISION 2035 FUND

The Vision 2035 Fund empowers us to build the church God calls us to be—a spiritual home for future generations. Through your generosity, we lay a strong foundation for ministry growth and expanded spaces, all for the glory of God’s kingdom. Together, let’s nurture a culture of cheerful giving, offering our gifts in gratitude for all that God has blessed us with—our families, our church, and our community.
